Description of specimen

Very large with Orange and a white strip on the back. Nothing I've ever seen before.

Commentary

Dear Frances, thank you for your report. I am confirming with one of my specialist but the fuzzy close up looks like you have bumble bees nesting in your birdhouse. I will try to identify the species but the picture is not very focused. It is definitely not the Asian giant hornet. Thank you and best regards, Helmuth Rogg
