Description of specimen

Chris Hagel here from Metro Parks. When gridding for weeds our contractors where on the lookout for False Brome per my direction. They found one False Brome plant at this location. They removed it. No other False brome was found in this floodplain area. This is the uppermost patch I believe we know about in the river system to date? I suspect there is a larger patch upstream as it has been popping up in our floodplains down stream. We surveyed all of Metro property along the river from Dodge Park down to this point. Nothing. We will continue to keep an eye out at this location but surveys upstream should start to happen soon. Where is it coming from? Maybe surveying next time Knotweed treatments are conducted on the Sandy would be a good idea?
