Location

A friend and I were fishing at the Common Wealth Lake, and I put in a small crayfish trap from the central dock. We left it in for about 2 hours and I caught an invasive species of crayfish. Specifically it is a Red Swamp Crayfish. I was also talking to some locals who have lived near the lake for a long time and they have noticed a steady decline in frog populations over the last few years. Which I am attributing at least partially to this infestation of Red Swamp Crayfish. If you do not know of this yet, I am hoping this will alert you to this infestation at common wealth lake. I will continue to trap here and either destroy them or keep them as a pet, outside of Oregon waters. If you need more info, please feel free to contact me.
