Commentary

Thank you for your submission: Yellow starthistle is fairly common in the Myrtle Creek area. The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) has historically released and established biological control agents for starthistle near Myrtle Creek and we are seeing some significant reductions in starthistle infestations at some sites due the the success of the bio-agents.
