Resources
There are many plants that look similar to giant hogweed, including our native cow parsnip. Giant hogweed is truly giant, often 7' to 14' tall, with leaves that can be up to 5' wide. There are some great photos comparing giant hogweed to similar species on the New York Dept of Environmental Conservation website.
Location
I am a Washington state resident and I pulled about 6 of this plant out of my garden today. They were different then any weeds I have pulled before. The hogweed was hard to remove they were well established in my Crocosmia Bulbs. I have not been in the garden this year as usual, (I am a full time student and just do not have time) but what struck me was how hard they were to pull out they just broke off. I am in Vancouver Washington but your web page does not list it so I put the nearest county
