Perfectly fits the description of Giant Knotweed in identification guides.
Thanks for reporting. What you are describing is in fact knotweed. This is a known patch and has been treated to some degree in the past. There are tentative plans to treat it again this summer if time and budgets permit. Because there is so much knotweed in the Sandy River Watershed in areas right along the river and its floodplains, this patch falls lower on the priority list. Again, thanks for reporting.
