Commentary
Thank you for your report, and apologies that it slipped through the cracks. I am sharing the info I have learned from our partners at the Oregon Dept of Agriculture: This species is now well established in Portland. To help slow the spread, you can avoid moving or sharing Salvia with people in uninfested areas. Killing it is up to you. The more moths there are around the more eggs will be laid in Salvia. Thanks for your report!
I found several Southern Punk Moths on salvia plants in my front yard.
