This species is native to the Pacific Northwest, but some recently discovered populations have shown invasive characteristics. Research is ongoing, and locations from this site will be useful in determining the status of these populations.
Location
POND ON SW 154/SW SEXTON MTN AND POND ON SW TURQUOISE LOOP, Beaverton. I have lived here since 2010 and this is the first time I have see what I think is Floating Marshpenny Wort. It has dramatically grown from the banks and over the water this summer. Please check the two ponds on both sides of SW Sexton Mountain and SW 154th/Turquoise Loop for examples. I will enclose a picture taken from the back yard of my son’s house 8555 SW Turquoise Loop and one from my back yard at 8400 SW 154th Thank you
