Commentary
Thank you for the submission Troy. This is certainly an invasive Ludwigia (L. peploides, L. hexapetala, or maybe another). Local experts in Curry County have been notified and this post will be updated as more information is gathered or action is taken. Thanks Troy.

Troy and Alex, thanks for picking this up. I don't have any record of invasive Ludwigia in the Lower Rogue to date. I have forwarded this on to the USFS and BLM Managers to see what they know. They would have better idea on specific species as well as I'm not good with aquatic species identification. I have informed the Lower Rogue WC as well to see if we can do some outreach to the river users on the lower river to better understand how far it has spread.
Ludwigia sp. (Peploides?) observed from a few miles upstream of Rogue River Ranch, to a few miles downstream during rafting trip. Week of 9/14/2021. Small populations in slow water eddies.
