Land Plants - non-native

Description of specimen

If you need a specimen, I can pull it from the trash bag (which only has garlic mustard and this plant) before 7 a.m.Thursday. Let me know if you want me to get it out.

When I first saw the plant, I thought wild ginger. But leaves not right, too many leaves, wrong habitat, I haven't seen ginger here in 33 yr. So, I started digging to remove it and encountered a large corm fringed with fine roots. I found at least 6 such plants. No idea how they would have gotten there - rolled off landscape truck? If from Australia, I might have an idea of the source.

I don't know what they are. But since I hadn't seen them before and they certainly don't look native, I didn't want to give them a chance to like it here.
I dug all I saw while surveying and digging out gqrlic mustard.

Pray tell, oh weed experts, any idea what it might be???
