Commentary

Thank you for your report! Your report contributes to our understanding of species' occurrence and distribution. Nutria are a common sight and widely established in the Willamette Valley, making control difficult, however exclusion can be effective. Management at specific refuges are made by the refuge staff, you could call or write the refuge to ask if they are taking any actions; Ankeny is managed by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. There is a lot of good information about nutria in Oregon on the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife's Living With Wildlife site, https://www.dfw.state.or.us/wildlife/living_with/nutria.asp.
