Description of specimen
The hug we saw matches the big in the recent announcement the the EAB was found in Forest Grove.
This is a native, non-pest relative of EAB, the Golden Buprestid (Buprestis aurulenta). They bore in recently dead or dying conifers, and do not attack living trees. Thank you for your report with the picture.
