Location

There is a large patch - about eight feet by twenty feet - of Japanese knotweed at 87502 Territorial Highway in Veneta. I've marked the spot very precisely on the map. This property is a foreclosure, and has been in the bank's foreclosure inventory since early 2020. I mentioned the problem to the contractor who monitors the property for the bank, and he indicated that it was highly unlikely that the bank would approve a work order for removal.

The stand is about 100 feet west of the drainage ditch on the west side of Territorial Highway; I believe that this ditch, which has a vigorous flow for about six months out of the year, feeds ultimately into West Coyote Creek, which in turn empties into Fern Ridge Reservoir.
