Thank you for your report! Emerald ash borer makes D-shaped holes about 1/8" wide. Here is the address of Oregon Department of Agriculture's IPPM Survey and treatment projects EAB page

Location
North river road, our backyard ash tree has holes that look like a drill has been used with sawdust at the bottom of the tree. I have not seen the bug but am very suspicious it is the ash beetle? Posting on Facebook, Eugene Gardners, showed the iridescent green beetle now in Oregon!
