Description of specimen

I'm amending an earlier report - I think it was (hopefully) more likely a Golden Buprestid (on a picnic table by the restroom at Mt. Scott Park in SE Portland).

Commentary

Thank you for the follow-up. There are a number of iridescent green look-alike beetles in Oregon that are not pests. I am attaching a link to the ODA EAB webpage with some photos of other Oregon insects that could be mistaken for EAB

Location

I'm following up on my earlier report of sighting an Emerald Ash Borer. I was very confident at the time, but am now more inclined to believe it was a Golden Buprestid. The beetle was on a picnic table under some conifers (maybe Doug fir).
