Description of specimen

Around 1/2” to 3/4” long; rich, dark green colored; sleek shape (not bulging out anywhere) tapering at the rear

Commentary

Thank you for your report! There are a number of iridescent green look-alike beetles in Oregon that are not pests. I am attaching a link to the ODA EAB webpage with some photos of Oregon insects that could be mistaken for EAB

Location

In the front yard of my home in Dallas. Flew onto my upper shoulder, crawled for about 10 seconds then flew away to the NE. Was unable to kill or take a photo because my hands were full, but both husband and I got a very good look.
