Description of specimen

Green, metallic sheen, 1.5 cm long, 5 mm wide, pair of 3 mm antennae pointing back along side the head, color of wing under shell is translucent brown.

Commentary

This is the Western cedar borer, Trachykele blondeli, a native beetle and not a tree killer.
