Description of specimen

see above - japanese knotweed and Scotch broom. Possibly other noxious weeds as well. The fill brought in by the city was loaded with these 2 species and possibly others.

Commentary

Japanese knotweed and Scotch broom are in Curry County and cooperators are implementing control projects in the area. I am forwarding this report information to Kean Fleming. Curry SWCD Weed Specialist.

Remedy

Identify and manage knotweeds in the Pacific Northwest

Location

Old County Road, Brookings, OR - Scotch broom and japanese knotweed have invaded from fill placed by the city on a lot off Marina Heights. These have spread down the hill opposite 1045 Old County Road.
