EDRR Status: Population assessed
I work at the Institute for Applied Ecology and am, sadly, familiar with the species. At this time of year it is darker green with drooping leaves, and the seeds, are a spike (attached directly to the stalk). It is hairy on the leaf margins.
There are other patches nearby--on private land, should I report these points separately?

Thanks for reporting False Brome. We can go ahead and pass the message on to BLM and others who should be notified. Keep up the good work reporting! It is encouraging to know you are out there scanning the landscape for this and other harmful invaders.

Regarding your question about false brome on private lands. Yes, it would be useful if you could report them separately on the website. That will really help us track the outcome of each individual population/report. Feel free to contact me directly at tania.siemens@oregonstate.edu
Thanks!

I thought you would like to know that we contacted Salem BLM regarding this report. They were very happy to receive the report, and the site will be included in their spray program. Keep up the great work, Denise!
