Description of specimen

Extensive patch of lesser celandine - buttercup like flowers (but larger), medium green leaves, about 12" in height.

Likely 20'x40' patch.

Remedy

For small patches, plants can be dug up in their entirety (be sure to get all roots and the small bulbils that break off to form new plants - you may need to sift through your soil to get these). Do not compost or put in your yard debris bin any below-ground parts of the plant (tubers and bulbils) as they can be spread this way. The leaves and flowers are ok to compost or put in yard debris. Location

Extensive patch of lesser celandine. Likely 20'x40'. This is an uninhabited lot, and I'm not sure who owns/manages it. The patch is near a dirt road that acts as a major water run off site. I have seen lesser celandine throughout neighborhoods in West Linn, but this is by far the largest patch I've seen in one place.
