Description of specimen

Approx. 1/2 inch long, emerald green, iridescent beetle with large black eyes.

Location

Found in front yard of my home on a white metal patio table. Insect was alive when I captured it. June 11, 2023 on the East side of NE 76th Ave in Portland.

Two 50-80 year old cherry trees across the street had recently been removed. The trees showed signs of insect damage. Not sure what insect caused the damage.
