Description of specimen

About 1/2 inch long x 3/16 inch wide, six legs, shinny, sparkly emerald. Looks just like the pictures I've seen on the Internet.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! There are a number of iridescent green look-alike beetles in Oregon that are not pests. I am attaching a link to the ODA EAB webpage with some photos of Oregon insects that could be mistaken for EAB

Location

Residential and wooded with several very large ash trees located on the East side of State Ave. between C Street and D Street. One approx. 30 year old ash in back yard of 255 D St. Properties also contain several old Maples, Cherries, and seven 25 yo apple trees. The borer was on the top rung of the ladder leaning on the east rain gutter of 255 D St.
