Description of specimen

Moth about 3 in wide , I thought it was a leaf at first but then realized it was a moth. Very cool markings black eyes jagged wings.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! Smerinthus opthalmica, the one-eyed sphinx moth, is a dramatic native species. It is not a pest.
