Description of specimen

I believe I have seen an Asian Longhorned Beetle. Based on the photos I have seen and the description it fits exactly.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! This is not ALB, it is the White-spotted sawyer beetle, Monochamus scutellatus. This is probably the closest look-alike to ALB of all of our native species, but it has an orange peel-like texture to the wing covers versus the smooth and shiny (like patent leather) of ALB, which can be seen in your excellent photos. It is not considered a pest.
