Maria, thank you for your report of Scotch Broom, an established invasive plant in many parts of Oregon. One of the new ways this species is being controlled by the Oregon Department of Agriculture is through the release of seed eating beetles. Over time, these beetles will help reduce populations of Scotch Broom. Please see the information I provided above regarding how to control Scotch Broom as well as resources that may be available to you.
