Description of specimen

I don't know what these little beatles are but they have similarities to the Mediterranean Oak Borer. I have never seen them before this year. The two I have are larger than others I've seen and are about 3/8" long and their wings have lines or ridges.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! No, those are not MOB -- MOB is smaller, the size and shape of a pencil lead. I can't identify the species from your photos, but the beetles in your house are not the kind that will damage your house and they certainly won't attack you! MOB will not infest your house, either, it attacks living but stressed oak trees. There is nothing to be concerned about the beetles you observed.

I sa a few in my bathroom in April then not again until yesterday,9/18/23.
