Found just chilling under the eaves on my patio

Commentary

Thank you for your report! Yes, that is a Bald-faced Hornet, but they are a native species and not true hornets -- they are closely related to yellow jackets, and don't attack honeybee colonies like the exotic Northern Giant Hornets do. They can be aggressive if disturbed, so be careful if you're taking down a nest.
