Description of specimen

The blackberries are growing over 8 feet tall and with all of the dead stalks provide a major fire danger in a heavily housed area. They also crowd the sidewalk across from Southern Lites Park. Last year the county came and cut the stalks back from the sidewalk but instead of hauling the stalks that were cut away, they shoveled them on top of the stalks behind the cut ones creating a thicker more dense fire hazard.
