Submitter does not have a specimen

Description of specimen

Saw 5 different ones. All full size adults, 1 one was one of the biggest over ever seen and I'm from the South. Aggressively went after my top water fish lures.

Commentary

Those bullfrogs sure get big! Thanks for snagging some. The Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife has a fact sheet about bullfrogs and actions that can be taken at https://www.dfw.state.or.us/conservationstrategy/invasive_species/docs/bullfrog_fact_sheet.pdf. You may want to compare with photos from http://www.californiaherps.com/frogs/pages/l.catesbeianus.html to be sure they are bullfrogs - although they are certainly common in the Portland-Metro area. There are some more control tips at https://www.denverpost.com/2019/07/03/boulder-county-invasive-american-bullfrogs/.
