Description of specimen

Yellow under winged moth flying around the house. It matches the photo found on another site that has yellow under wings with dark stripe across the bottom, visible when top wings are spread.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! Yes, that is the European yellow underwing, Noctua pronuba. They are well-established in the Willamette Valley.
