Big spider I thought may be a funnel web spider but others submitted your report on the trap door spider

Commentary

Yes, that is a folding trapdoor spider, Antrodiaetus sp. The Australian funnel web spiders are similar in appearance -- but they are Australian.

In our backyard across from the Hospital. On the treeline between mulched coastal pine and Salal bushes
