Poison Hemlock (Conium maculatum) on Jun 7, 2024

Submitter has sample

Description of specimen

The wetlands area behind my house has not only poison hemlock it also has Ivy, arum. These are spreading rapidly, the IV is going up the trees, and the poison hemlock is also spreading rapidly

Commentary

Each of these species are unfortunately common throughout the county. Poison hemlock is very toxic so must be handled with care. The arum is toxic as well.

Here’s some information on each of the three species.
