Description of specimen

This guy came into the house. We were trying to figure out how to trap it or kill it for over and hour. We ended up placing a giant glass mixing bowl over it. We both hate wasps. What is this? We couldn’t figure out. Yellow Jacket, Cicada Killer? Who knows?
