Description of specimen

Tree appeared dead from top down, D shaped burro holes. Didn't look too hard for the bug b/c the was poison ivy all around so we just cut it down.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! EAB attacks and kills ash trees. It can't be the reason for the decline of your pine. Most of our native woodborers lay eggs on trees that are dying or recently dead. It looks like the tree may have some other problem.
