Description of specimen

Tapered, black bug with six legs, the toes of each leg a paler orange or brown. Had folded wings and a sharp head with two eyes and antenna halfway down the 'snout'. Doesn't appear to be a weevil, looks extremely like a kissing bug.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! This is most likely the Masked hunter bug, Reduvius personatus. They do not bite.
