Description of specimen
Approximately 1.5 - 2" long, black body with white stripes and black and white stripes on the antennae.
Good policy to inspect thoroughly and carefully! This beetle is native to Oregon -- it's the Banded alder borer, Rosalia funebris. They are not pests.
