Description of specimen

Large eyes on the top of its head, orange head, top half of abdomen emerald green, bottom half orange.

Commentary

That sure does look like EAB!

So far EAB has only been found in Washington County in the Forest Grove area, so the good news is that you haven't located a new infestation. I'm forwarding this report to let you know your management options.

Excellent photo. Concur with Tom. It does look like EAB to me.

Location

Found an Emerald ash borer on a Lilac bush in my backyard. Didn't know what it was at the time but later found articles and other information confirming it to be invasive. The Lilac is also near a medium sized maple tree and a few other bush species I am not very familiar with.
