Tall spiky green plants with little purple flowers.

Hello Maddison - Thank you for taking a step against invasive species! That does indeed look like purple loosestrife, which is considered a B listed weed in Oregon. This weed is fairly abundant in Polk County. It is recommended that landowners control noxious weeds on their property. While it is important to control weeds locally, there are limited financial resources to assist with control of B listed weeds or more common weeds. The good news is that several bio-controls exist for Purple Loosestrife.
