Description of specimen

Mediterranean katydid


Green leaf designed looking cricket or grasshopper. Possibly female. Its currently sitting in a 7/11big gulp with the top taped off with clear tape.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! That looks like our native Fork-tailed Bush Katydid, Scudderia furcata. They are not pests.
