It was green, almost translucent wings, and maybe an inch. Sorry I just got a glimpse before it flew off.

Thank you for your report! There are a number of iridescent green look-alike beetles in Oregon that are not pests. I am attaching a link to the ODA EAB webpage with some photos of Oregon insects that could be mistaken for EAB
I saw one floating around. I was outside painting my house and it was on my house about 4 weeks ago in West Salem. I remember thinking it was a very strange looking insect that I hadn't seen before. I am not aware of any ash trees around me but that doesn't mean there aren't any.
My house is 770 Glen Creek Road NW, Salem OR 97304. When it flew away, it flew south towards the green belt on the hill.
