Description of specimen

About 6 inches long very red legs and tail. It was aggressive towards us as we biked towards it but I picked it up to move it

Remedy

Red Swamp Crayfish is an Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife Prohibited Species, meaning they "may not be imported, possessed, sold, purchased, exchanged or transported in the state".

Location

We were on the Fanno Creek Trail and there was a Red Swamp Crayfish crawling on the trail. I didn’t know at the time what kind of species it was until I looked it up and so I put him back on the side of the trail and next to Fanno Creek so he wouldn’t get squished by a bike.
