Description of specimen

I was concerned that it was an Emerald ash borer but thought they were larger. I came inside and looked it up and found that it was exactly what I was afraid of. It got away.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! There are a number of iridescent green look-alike beetles in Oregon that are not pests. I am attaching a link to the ODA EAB webpage with some photos of other Oregon insects that could be mistaken for EAB
