Description of specimen

small patches are spreading throughout parking lot due to mowing practices. this is adjacent to the proposed Kellogg-for-Coho Kellogg dam removal project area.

Jeff,

Thanks for reporting this patch of knotweed patch. We definitely should try to combat this patch, if it is going to be impacted by the Dam removal process. I am planning some outreach with the City of Milwaukie and will use that as a venue to discuss improved management of Japanese knotweed.

Knotweed Shrub Complex: Identification, Biology, and Management, Oregon Extension Service

Location

In a vacated parking lot at the corner of 99E and Washington St. in downtown Milwaukie. The property is owned by the city of Milwaukie and is not managed as part of Dogwood Park. This patch is a satellite patch (spread due to mowing) of a larger patch on Kellogg lake just south of the parking lot.
