Commentary

Avatar of commenter Thank you for your report! Yes, I think Google Lens got it right this time: Elm leaf beetle is a very widespread invasive, but you're right to be skeptical. This destructive invasive is, unfortunately, well-established here. The PNW Pest Management Handbook offers a little advice for management if you've got an elm tree you'd like to protect: https://pnwhandbooks.org/insect/hort/landscape/hosts-pests-landscape-plants/elm-ulmus-elm-leaf-beetle.
