Description of specimen

Black and red beetles. There are hundreds of them all over the property. They take over the cars climb inside cars. I park and my car is stormed with them.

Thanks! Those aren't beetles, they are the native Western boxelder bug, Boisea rubrolineata. They are more of a nuisance than a pest. They feed on seeds, mostly on maples and boxelder. The adults are coming out of hibernation right now. They will disperse but in the fall they look for sheltered places to overwinter, so they may be back later.
