Invasive Japanese beetle that looks like a lady bug, hundreds on hundreds of them

Thank you for your report! Those aren't Japanese beetles. Those are lady beetles, just as you said they seem to be.

Location

The Japanese beetles were on the side of living room theaters covering all of the trees , hundreds of them
