False Brome (Brachypodium sylvaticum) on Dec 3, 2010

Description of specimen

Positively identified as F. Brome. Specimen still in our possession. Specimen identical to Ms. Siemens sample. She came to our class the same week to give us a marvelous instructive class on invasives. I did the bend-the-blade test and the color was a match. The USACE did do some spraying in the vicinity but I believe this was new growth and not within their spray zone.

Commentary

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks so much for submitting this report! Do you think you could get your kids out there to pull it? Or, it sounds like from your report that you already pulled them? Thanks so much and have a wonderful holiday!
