Commentary

Dear Dane,

My apologies for not responding to this report sooner! Thanks so much for submitting this report! I did forward it right away to Dave Ambrose at the SWCD, and he informed me that because they were not selected for the NFWF Pulling Together Initiative grant, and there is therefore currently very limited funding for weed control. So, while yellow archangel is a priority, we are not sure how we will be able to control it without funding. For now it is still very valuable to have a record of this infestation to help with treatment planning next year. So, thanks again. Please do keep on reporting. The more awareness we build the better our chances of getting funding so we can address these important threats. In addition, we may be able to work with the land owner to control if they agree it is an important issue. We will continue to think about how we can address this infestation, and I will let you know. Thanks again and keep on reporting!

Sincerely,
Tania Siemens
