Description of specimen
OR white oak with extensive canopy dieback, I'd estimate about 1/4 - 1/3 of the canopy. Photo is a bit blurry and not well saturated because I took it while passing by on the highway at speed. Also was unable to speak to the property owner or inspect more closely for frass, beetles, exit holes, etc. Christine B commented that it could be underburning damage but recommended I report it anyway, in case anyone is in the area can make contact with the owner for a closer inspection.
