Description of specimen
Dying ash canopy
Commentary
Hi there! Thank you for using the hotline to report this sighting. I went to the location you provided and also noted several ash trees with dying canopies. This type of dieback can be attributed to a lot of different factors, but of course, emerald ash borer has lots of people on high alert right now. While I didn't see any evidence that immediately made me suspect EAB presence, I went ahead and passed along this report anyway to a few experts at the Oregon Department of Forestry for further review.

Location
Along the bike path that connects the Corvallis Domain apartment complex with Harrison. I did not see holes but there are ash trees with dying canopies, especially in the trees to the right as you walk toward Harrison. The trees are in a wetland area.
